Lord Knows

Lord knows I am putting so much responsibility on my shoulders, even from behind these walls. Lord knows that I found what has lived within me for so long. Lord knows I want my family and the rest of the world to experience what I feel inside. It’s all humane and productive, why not share with everyone? I plan on being the producer of many smiles. Lord knows it takes a lot of character to stay on this path. I just want to know if anyone has ever wanted something so bad that they were willing to die for it. That thing that I want is peace and a sense of security for me and my family. There is not a soul on this earth that can convince me that I’m not going to succeed once I am released. The passion to want to succeed again has made me cry some nights. I represent the grind. I represent the idea of “I can do anything I want in America no matter how bad things get.”

I just want to say thank you. I’ve been going through really hard times lately. my girlfriend just broke up with me and I’m going to be in my 5th year of highschool as a 5th year senior. Your blog has really motivated me to stay positive and realize that life is what you make it. I looked forward to reading your blog everyday and it keeps me focused on trying to be happy and get my work done and graduate from highschool next year. I just really want to thank you because your blog has really been helping me through hard times and seeing you stay so grounded and positive through what your going through makes me want to stay strong and become a better person.

Maurice. When I watched you play in the shoe I knew at the time that I was watching something very rare and special. Stripping the ball in the national championship game against Miami cemented my opinion. I would love to see you play football again and I have to believe that football will be your best path for success in the future. Good luck.
