A Site to be Seen
Some days I wish the world was able to see the amount of talent behind these walls. Creativity is at an all-time high back here. Above all though, you have some people who can play any and every sport like professionals. Yesterday I participated in a game where a man scored 54 points. It wasn’t that no one was watching him it was that he could get open and shoot the ball from any distance. What I am talking about when I say any distance, I am talking about six to seven feet behind the three point line. Even though we were playing a game I still watched in amazement. You have some men who just work on their game day in and day out and it shows on the court. You have some who can jump and dunk and could probably compete in the NBA dunk contest. Some aren’t even 21 and some are above the age of 40. You have so much talent, that’s all I’m saying. If people had a chance to see it they’d enjoy it because it is rough and raw. The gym is real small and stuffy, especially when all the inmates come to see the game. People play their hardest and it’s all for respect. They play hard because they are passionate. Even though I hate being here, I can say that I’ve witnessed a couple of people who could’ve played in the NBA if circumstances were different. The bottom line is that I am not the only good athlete back here.

Bro. Clarett,
As former ball player who’s career was cut short because of cocaine use, I can applaud you for not giving up the dream. You are still very young and you have a a lot of ball left in you. I would like you to know that one thing I regret from my younger years is not letting Jesus Christ enter my life. I truly believe I would have not struggled with a drug addiction for 10 years. I do not push Christ on anyone, I simply let people know my story, and let my light so shine. God told me to write you this letter. Being from Columbus, I know all the stuff there was to get into. And I got into all of it. I just want you to know that Jesus loves you Bro, and for all you have done he forgives you. He is waiting for you to give your life to him, and all the desires of your heart will be met. Just remember intimacy with the Triune God breeds revelation, revelation demands change. Get intimate with the Lord Bro, and he will reveal to you everything you need to know in order to get where you need to be. God does not give everyone the ability to play football. But when His name is not glorified the ability is taken away from those of us who have a higher calling in our lives. Mad Love for anyone who is from the OH-10. And even more love for anyone who has kicked in Cols. From Livingston Ave, to Main, to Cleveland Ave. I for sure used to bang the block. Now I get down for the GOD. Hey man if ya don’t mind I would like to write ya just 2 encourage you, and if you need a spiritual advisor I’m here for you Bro. Keep ya head up, don’t give up, ur greatest story has yet to be written. Just gain insight into God’s will for your life. John 10:3,4- Proverbs 3:5,6

Man all I can say is I wish you the best… From all us that have been locked down, we know what’s in there, the talent, the minds, the personalities… oportunity is the key and grasping it is turning the knob to the door of success… Keep your head up and God Bless.

Mo, please never give up. Man, you are truly the best rb that i’ve ever seen play. So quickly how people forget that u actually won the championship for OSU, stealing the ball back after the interception.
So quickly how people forget the freshman records you hold. So quickly people forget your 1300 yards rushing while missing 4 games……so quickly.
People always talk about your speed, but quickly forget the one of the best running back in the nfl (Earl Campbell) ran a 4.8 at best. Or, that Emmitt Smith was clocked at a 4.71 at the combine.
Football is not mastered by speed. Only track. It’s deception and having a thorough understanding of the game that makes a rb sucessful. And, that my friend is why you will be successful once you return to your rightful place.
There is no running back, to date, that can measure up to you Mo. not one. The nfl knows it, but they won’t show it. They are scarred of you Mo because you might make them look stupid once you succeed.
We all know that it was OSU that black balled you. We know the power that they have nationwide. But, Mo they can’t stop you. Like Obama it your time baby!
Just do it!
