Face Your Own Reality

Everything is not all good all of the time. I have the motivation to speak on this now because I see a lot of people trying to keep up bogus fronts that keep them suffering. Vulnerability is a part of life. Mistakes are a part of life. Bad choices are a part of life. Loneliness and suffering is a part of life and not being able to have what you want when you want it is a part of life. 99% of the people that everyone tries to impress are people that they don’t respect, care about, or know for that matter. It is insane to keep up a bogus image so someone you don’t even know or respect can “respect” you. Think about it.

Living a life that is not authentic to your personal beliefs, morals, and values is not real. Being a mental slave to someone else’s ignorance for the purpose of “gaining” situational respect is foolish. Like I say all the time, I speak on it because I’ve been through it. It is also something that I see people going through now. Before anyone does anything of real value, or something substantial that they deeply desire, they must first gain knowledge of SELF. Knowing who you are, why you are, and what you are will add the needed guidance and direction to move through life. Understanding who you are will allow you to appreciate where you are at now. My worst struggles in prison don’t compare to my grandmother’s and grandfather’s struggles. Come to think about it, my grandfather would probably kick my butt if he heard of some of the opportunities I squandered off.

I really ventured off on what I was getting at so I will take the time to write a part two to this post. This one doesn’t do it for me. I just hope people are warmed up to the idea of what I am talking about. I have a lot to say about the topic. Check it out tomorrow.

    Maurice,

We all make mistakes. We all are forgiven. Yet the mental, and or emotional baggage that we (for some of us that do) carry for no apparent reason, get bogged down unnecessarily so. Baggage that is so weighted and senseless to drag with us, it is as if the load blocks the true vision/visions we actually intend to see and reach for. A very wise person would not judge you. Especially if they have not met, much less gotton to know you! So, in short, what other people think, or what YOU think they think, is irrelevant. Its a waste of YOUR energy. Life is so rough already as it is. Where ever you are.
You are definitely on the right track in using what the Good Lord gave you, your head. Your soul, sanity, and being on a path to be at peace with yourself is what will make you a bigger man. Not to cut you short with my words, but I applaude you for letting the words flow on paper. Let it just roll out! The healing in that is beyond words.

It is clear that you are making some serious life changes and I know that when your on the outside you will make a positive name for yourself. Remember do your time don’t let your time do you. God bless.
