Happy Easter
Happy Easter to everyone. I hope everyone reading this post will enjoy their day with their family and loved ones. This is one of the days I wish I could spend with my family. It would mean a lot to me. The actual holidays mean nothing to me personally, but I enjoy the feeling in the air that everyone else has. I love the feeling when people are cooking, eating, laughing, and enjoying everyone’s company. I love to laugh. Maybe I will be home soon. Who knows? \

I sense pain in your post. Don’t let go of that pain. Use it to propel you to a positive place after your incarceration. I’ll continue praying for you and your family. Happy Easter!

You have to get back to football. You can get back to football. Nobody can stop you. Prove everyone wrong. I know you can.

Maurice – I have never met you and know you only through watching your life story play out in the papers. But I want to echo some of the other comments here and wish you well. The world needs turn-around stories and once you get out the slammer, you’ll have a chance to return to pro sports.
Be contrite, let it show in word and deed. Understand that you screwed up, but found the secret to getting back to where normal people want to cheer you on not shake their heads at how such a waste of awesome natural talent made you almost throw your life away.
the NFL is chock full of high-character guys that any town in America would be proud of. Right now youre not yet back to being one of those people. BUT YOU COULD BE.
If you find what it takes to be a man in every important sense of that word, you would be welcomed back into the NFL with open arms by the fans. We love a good comeback story (See: Ricky Williams among others).
If you are truly back in the good graces, prove you can act like a solid guy who respects himself, his peers and life generally, AND you can pound the rock like you did at THE Ohio State University, just watch how fast you become the feel-good story of the decade.
Get on with it, Maurice. People in America want you to see the light, and come back to football. Good luck and God Bless.
