  1. My favorite quote is:

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that
matter.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I need to tell you that I have been reading your blog for over an hour. I was curious today and wondered what happened to you after all of your troubles. I searched your name and this is one of the things that came up.

I am amazed and touched by the things you have written. We all face adversity in our lives in one way or another, and it’s usually of our own making. It is rare that we are able to reflect on what we have done and what we need to do as a result. It is obvious in what you have written that you are trying to be the man you are, instead of the one that everyone expected you to be.

Lastly, your daughter is a lucky little girl. I hope that she soon gets to hug you everyday. Children are the most important thing we can invest ourselves in, so you have your priorities straight in my book. I told my twelve year old son about you today. I told him about your accomplishments on the football field, the time when you strayed from your greatness and how you are trying to improve yourself despite all the odds against it. Thanks for sharing.

First off hello Maurice. Its a day before Easter. hope yours is a good one but who really cares. How i got here ,to write this is funny to me. ill just tell you that i collect sports cards. Something i have been doing for 4yrs now. Ive always loved sports .Im 38 yrs old as of march. yippy.. anyways after my cuzzin was killed i had all these boxes of cards that belong to him. i remember picking your card up it is the one in my hand now. Bowman “Fabric Of The Future” Topps card.Denver Broncos That was 4yrs ago. My cuzzin had a shoot out with a old friend ,well they killed each other. Ive been back to prison since and im not a stranger to the system ive had my share of misfortunes. its not easy and it seems like it dont get any easier. the struggle is on and being a father of 3 and more can get heavy. Tomorrow is Easter and i might not be ready. Its 5:26 i know my kids depend on me so im here giving you couple of hours of me and why ? because life is taking time out to share what else gos on so that someone else can see that its my choice to do that .For whatever reason ? maybe because i needed to share with you. Everyone has a choice. we just run out of options .Life gets shorter as we think. Well Maurice, today i picked up a Beckett they had a deal in it,where i can trade in my Autograph/game used cards that i dont want for factory sealed boxes of new stuff. Well since i had’nt heard your name you were going to be one of those, but because i remember you and puting your card in that sleeve . i had to double check and find out why you have not been making any noise. After reading the drama, it brought me to your web site and because i read there hype and felt your struggle i guess ill hold back on your card, maybe your day is sill to come . take care …. count time
    your friend Steve

  5. To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to
find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a
healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know
even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to
    have succeeded.
    — Ralph Waldo Emerson
