Feelings For Today

 

 

 

 

I have to play again, somewhere. I was sitting here reminiscing and I was thinking how I enjoyed competing. I was down memory lane this morning. I remembered more practices than games.  I guess the preparation means more than the actual games subconsciously. I was thinking about the jokes people made in the locker rooms and I thought of the long hours we would put in daily. I was thinking about the weight rooms, training rooms and everything in between.

I was thinking about the smile I would put on my mother’s face. She enjoys watching me run. She never tells me but I know she does. I bet my life that she will probably shed a tear understanding and knowing our personal journey. She will probably reflect back to 2003 and run down memory lane to whenever it is I would be playing. I promise that if it’s possible I am going to make it happen.

 

As everyone can probably tell, I am in one of those modes where I am ready to go. I can’t hide that. You go through moments like this back here where you really just cannot wait to go and I am experiencing one of them. Don’t get me wrong, I want to leave everyday but sometimes I get extremely tired of the living conditions and am ready to get my life back. I am about to read all day to take my mind out of here and I’ll speak to everyone tomorrow.

  1. Everything is possible! I’d sure be right there in the stands!! This and the previous two posts of 12-3 indicate that you are facing your giants. Don’t back down. I read a book every morning called Courage to Change. That’s what it takes and you have it. Onward and upward. Love.

  4. reecie, there isn’t a day that goes by that i don’t think of those times you just described.the things you accomplished were amazing and guess what, it can still happen for you.i can’t imagine the mindset it takes to plow threw everyday in your shoes, but i don’t know anyone stronger mentality and physically than you. use those good thoughts to smile and reflect and to push you threw this part of your life.i have know doubt you will be toten the rock again………its in your blood.believe it or not,you help me and many others get threw the day being as strong as you are.hold your head up my brother….your maurice clarett….your one tough———–…..real soon, your dreams will come true. remember all those times we talked about who cared and who mattered,stay strong……..love ya booby d.

    Two words of great significance I would like to emphasize from these verses. “Thanksgiving” and “peace”. When we are able to thank GOD for what he has brought us through, where he has us and most importantly where he is taking us we begin to rise above our situations and circumstances. For we realize that with GOD all things are temporary and just a part of the process/plan that he has for our lives. Nothing and no one can keep us down, for with GOD we are more than conquerors.

    Everyone is searching for peace. Unfortunately most people think peace can be found in power/control, things and/or other people, but peace is found within. Peace is not the absence of chaos, but the presence of CHRIST. When I take my mind off of the things that I see around me and remind myself that GOD is with me at all times, there is a peace that surpasses all understanding, for I’m walking by faith and not by sight.

    Thank GOD and know that he is with you and will never leave you nor forsake Maurice….
